All of his subsequent novels revolved around this character. With the publication of his third book, “The Third Option,” in 2000, he established himself as a serious political thriller author. In his fourth novel, “Separation of Power,” published in 2001, he used his knowledge of technology and security systems, as well as the expertise of his government sources.
In 2003, he changed publishers to ‘Atria Books,’ and his fifth book, “Executive Power,” was released. “Memorial Day,” his sixth book, was released in 2004. His seventh book, “Consent To Kill,” was published in 2005, and he appeared on the talk show ‘The O’Reilly Factor.’ He was a consultant for the hit television series “24: from 2005 to 2006.
His eighth and ninth books, “Act Of Treason” and “Protect And Defend,” were released in 2006 and 2007, respectively. He signed film and book deals with CBS Corporation units CBS Films and Simon & Schuster/Atria Books in February 2008.
