After graduating from high school, Victor Oladipo had few choices. Several colleges were actively pursuing him, including Notre Dame, Maryland, and Xavier. He initially chose Indiana University because the town it was situated in was perfect for him. He joined Indiana University’s college team, the Indiana Hoosiers, while still studying sports communication broadcasting. In his freshmen year, from 2010 to 2011, he played in 32 games for the Hoosiers, starting five of them.

He showed the promise of what he could do by averaging 7.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.06 steals in 18.0 minutes a game. Oladipo emerged as one of the best players in the country after his junior season with the Hoosiers. Moreover, he led his team to the outright Big Ten championship in 2012–13. In his final season with the Hoosiers, he appeared in 36 games and averaged 13.6 points per game.

NBA

When it comes to Victor Oladipo’s professional basketball career, he has been playing since 2013 and is still doing so. He began his professional basketball career after being drafted by the Orlando Magic in the 2013 NBA draft. He signed a rookie deal with the Magic on July 8. Against the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2013-14 season, he had his first career triple-double with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.

He came in second place in the Slam Dunk Contest. He was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder on June 23, 2016, and scored 10 points in his debut game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Due to Victor’s injury, he had missed several of his matches. He has been a member of the Thunder team since 2016. Despite signing Oladipo to a large and costly deal, the Thunder traded him and Domantas Sabonis to the Indiana Pacers for Paul George the following season. Oladipo had 22 points, five rebounds, four steals, and four assists in his team’s 140–131 victory over the Brooklyn Nets. He led his team to the playoffs, where he averaged 22.7 points per game in seven games. Miami Heat

Oladipo traded him to the Houston Rockets as part of a four-team deal that sent James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets on January 16, 2021. Two days later, he made his debut, scoring 32 points and handing out 9 assists in a 125-120 defeat to the Chicago Bulls. He appeared in just 20 games for the Rockets, averaging 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. Oladipo traded Victor to the Miami Heat on March 25, 2021, in exchange for Avery Bradley, Kelly Olynyk, and a 2022 draft pick swap. He made his debut on April 1 in a 116-109 victory over the Golden State Warriors, recording 6 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists in 23 minutes.
