Travis Scott is a famous rapper, songwriter, singer, and record producer from the United States. Travis Scott is widely known for his musical style, which combines lo-fi traditional hip-hop with ambient elements. Moreover, Scott rose to prominence in 2012 after signing his first major label deal with Epic Records.

Early Life

Travis Scott was born in Houston, Texas, United States on the 30th of April 1992. His birth name is Jacques Bermon Webster II. He is 31 years old and under the zodiac sign Aries. Scott holds an American nationality and follows the Christian religion.

He lived with his grandmother in Missouri City for a large portion of his early years. Later, he relocated to the suburbs so he could be with his father.

Speaking of his educational background, Scott attended a private school before attending Elkins High School. He left the same after receiving his diploma in 2007 and enrolled at the University of Texas at San Antonio. But Scott dropped out of school after his second year to focus on a music career.

Career and Professional Life

After dropping out of college, Travis Scott moved to New York City to start a music career. To become a record producer, he initially focused on creating hip-hop music.

Together, he and his longtime friend Chris Holloway founded the band known as “The Graduates.” They released their first EP on the social networking site MySpace a year later, in 2008.

He founded the group “The Classmates” in 2009 with his former classmate OG Chess. The Classmates launched two projects in 2009 and 2010. While the first one was with Buddy Rich, the second one was with Cruis’n USA. The duo remained together until 2012 when they separated due to personal and financial difficulties.

Scott’s “Owl Pharaoh” mixtape was his first-ever full-length release. Call it fate or bad luck, but Kanye West and Mike Dean later remade the project after its release was postponed.

A music video for the song “Quintana,” which was slated to be in “Owl Pharaoh,” was released by Scott in March 2013. During this time, Scott became a member of the XXL’s 2013 Freshman Class.

The lead single from Scott’s major label debut studio album, “Days Before Rodeo,” “Don’t Play,” was made available in July 2014. The song was an enormous hit. As a result of this achievement, Scott announced “The Rodeo Tour,” a concert tour featuring rapper Young Thug of the Rich Gang and producer Metro Boomin.

In September 2015, Scott’s highly anticipated album “Rodeo” was made available. Several artists made cameo appearances in it. He released the singles “3500” and “Antidote” from his album “Rodeo.”  While “3500” was a well-received hit, his career took off with “Antidote.” When it peaked at number 16, it became the single with the highest chart position on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

He collaborated with Thug on the 2016 single “Pick Up The Phone,” which was released. The extremely well-liked song peaked at number 43 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Scott revealed that the names of his second and third albums would be “Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight” and “AstroWorld,” respectively, by the middle of 2016. Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, his second album, was released on his third episode of.wav radio in September 2016.

In May 2017, Scott released three brand-new songs on SoundCloud, including “Green & Purple,” “A Man,” and “Butterfly Effect.” He then embarked on a “DAMN.Tour” and performed their song “Walk On Water” at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards.

Scott was a featured artist on Trippie Redd’s song “Dark Knight Dummo” by the end of the year. It reached its peak on the Billboard Hot 100 at position 72. A week later, “Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho,” his collaborative album with Quavo, was made available. When the album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200, seven of its songs made the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

However, Kylie allegedly accused him of cheating, which is why they split up in October 2019. However, they stayed together during the COVID-19 pandemic for the sake of their daughter and ended up getting together again.

After weeks of speculation, they announced they were expecting their second child.  In February 2022, they welcomed their second child, son Aire Webster.
