Terry Hollands – Professional career
Terry Hollands developed a keen interest in and participation in Judo and Rugby Union at an early age. Moreover, Terry began his strongman career in 2005, finishing second in England’s Strongest Man and first in the UK’s Strongest Man competitions. He misplaced his UK championship to Glenn Ross in 2006 but switched his focus to Britain’s Strongest Man competition.
In 2006, he qualified for the World’s Strongest Man competition, however, he did not make it to the finals. In 2007, he was named Britain’s Strongest Man and placed third in the World’s Strongest Man competition. He finished sixth in the 2009 World’s Strongest Man. He recovered in time to compete in the 2010 World’s Strongest Man competition, where he finished eighth after making the final for the fifth year in a row.
In 2011, he finished third for the second time in the event, but because of a biceps injury, he had to withdraw from the final in 2012. He is one of just five men from the United Kingdom to have won the World’s Strongest Man competition. On September 4, 2015, he played rugby for England against the rest of the world in a charity match.

He participated in the Giants Live World Tour Finals in September 2019, just a few months after competing in his first bodybuilding contest. Moreover, he won the 2019 World’s Strongest Man Masters competition at the Official Strongman Games in Daytona, Florida, in November of 2019.
He declared his retirement from Strongman after withdrawing from the 2021 World’s Strongest Man due to an injury sustained during the loading medley. He competed in two events during the tournament.

He starred in a series of YouTube videos with four-time WSM Brian Shaw in which he and Brian bought food from Costco, cooked it, and communicated in Brian’s gym in October 2018. He rejected an invitation to compete in the World’s Strongest Man 2019 competition and instead focused on bodybuilding.
In August 2019, he competed in his first bodybuilding competition, placing first in the Beginners category, second in the Master’s category, and second in the Open Super Heavyweight category. He was qualified for the 2brospro British Finals, however, he was unable to compete due to other commitments.
