Simon Helberg is a well-known actor and comedian from the United States. Simon Helberg is best known for playing Howard Wolowitz in the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory (2007–2019), for which he won the Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

Simon Helberg came to the world on the 9th of December 1980, in Los Angeles, California, in the United States of America. According to his birth date, he is 43 years old and holds American nationality.

Talking about his professional career, Simon Helberg began his career in 1999, making his appearance in the film ‘Mumford,’ where he played the small, uncredited role of a college roommate.

Similarly, he began his television career in 2001 with small appearances in series such as ‘Popular’ and ‘Cursed.’ Moreover, he also appeared in the pilot of the series, ‘Ruling Class,’ but the series was never aired.

Since the early 2000s,  he performed with comedian Derek Waters in the sketch comedy duo Derek & Simon. The duo starred together in 2007 Derek and Simon: The Show, a web series they created with comedian Bob Odenkirk for the comedy website Super Deluxe.

Previously, they made two short films “Derek & Simon: The Pity Card” (co-starring Zach Galifianakis and Bill Hader) and “Derek & Simon: A Bee and a Cigarette” (co-starring Casey Wilson and Emily Rutherfurd,) and had a pilot deal with HBO in 2005.

One of his earliest works in television was briefly joining the cast of MADtv for one season in 2002. In 2022, he appeared in the feature film Van Wilder as one of the geeky students for whom Van Wilder was throwing a party.

Later, in the 2003 movie Old School, he had a minor role. Similarly, he appeared in the two episodes of the 2004 television series Reno 911!, Student Driver in “Raineesha X” and Hooker Buying Son in “Not Without My Mustache.”

In the sixth episode of Quintuplets, “Get a Job,” he had a small role as a man called Neil working behind the counter at a shoe shop where Paige and Patton were working.

He appeared in the 2004 film A Cinderella Story, starring Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray. In 2005, he played the minor role of Simon in George Clooney’s movie ‘Good Night, and Good Luck’ where he had one line.
That same year, he had a bit part in Arrested Development as Jeff, an employee of the film studio where Maeby worked. He had a minor supporting role as Alex Dwyer in the drama Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip from 2006 to 2007.
Later, he was featured in the 2006 series of comical TV commercials for Richard Branson’s UK financial services company Virgin Money. In 2007, he had a small role in the film Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story as a Jewish record producer. He played the role of Howard Wolowitz in the 2007 CBS comedy series The Big Bang Theory.

Helberg appeared as the character Moist in Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog and had a small role in the pilot episode of the Judd Apatow-produced sitcom Undeclared. He has appeared in the Coen brother’s film A Serious Man (2009), where he played junior Rabbi Scott Gensler.
Similarly, he had a minor role in the season 4 finale of The Guild as one of the Game Masters. Moreover, he starred alongside Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant in the 2016 film Florence Foster Jenkins, directed by Stephen Frears. In the film, he played the role of pianist Cosmé McMoon.
