Russell Peters is a highly popular Canadian comedian and is one of the highest-paid artists. Russell Peters was part of films like Breakaway and Source Code.

Early life

On September 29, 1970, Russell Peters was born in Toronto, Canada. As of now, he is already 51 years old and is born under the Libra zodiac sign. He belongs to Indian parents, both of mixed Anglo-Indian descent. He was born to his father Eric Peters and his mother Maureen Peters. In 1995, his parents moved to Canada from Western India and East India respectively.

Thus, he attended Chinguacousy Secondary school. Later, he went to North Peel Secondary school in Bramalea. Eventually, he learned boxing which helped him resist the bullying. Also, he has an older brother named Clayton and he served as his manager.

Career

 In 1989 performing comedy shows in Toronto and started his career at a very young age. George Carlin, Steve Martin, Don Rickels, and Eddie Murphy have highly influenced him. Fortunately, in 1992, he got the chance to meet Carlin. With his advice, he started growing, and in 2008, he hosted one of the last shows of Carlin before he died.

 He gained appreciation as well as criticism when he appeared on CBC’s comedy show ‘Comics!’.  Thus, he was nominated for a ‘Gemini Award’ for his performance.

Later on, he performed in the Canadian TV show ‘Comedy Now!, in 2004. Additionally, the entire show and several of its separate segments were uploaded onto YouTube. In addition, they instantly went viral marking his career graph upwards. In 2006, in the Canada Day Comedy festival, he also played the role of an anchor. Besides that, he acted in the CBC Radio One’s comedy show called ‘Monsoon House’. At the Beacon Theatre in New York, he gave back-to-back sold-out performances in 2006.

Similarly, he recorded an album of his first feature-length performance. Thus, the album was called ‘Outsourced. Therefore, on August 26, 2006, it was telecast on the Comedy Central channel. Successfully, the DVD version sold over 100,000 copies. Eventually, it was on the national DVD chart for more than 1 and a half years. Likewise, he performed across venues in Greenland, Iraq, Germany, and Africa, in 2007. The progarm also included singers Wilmer Valderrama and Mayra Veronica.

Russell Peters lived in Los Angeles, California as of now and owns 2 homes there. In the year 2008, he was in a relationship with Bollywood actress Sunny Leone. Later, he proposed to his girlfriend Monica Diaz, on July 10, 2010, at LA International Airport. Soon, in the same year of august 20, they got married. They were blessed with a daughter named Crystianna Marie Peters, on December 14, 2010.

Unfortunately, he divorced his wife in the year 2012. Moving on, he was engaged to Ruzanna Khetchain. Later, on December 4, 2018, he made an announcement he and his girlfriend Jennifer Andrade were expecting a child. In the same year, they were blessed with a son named Russell Santiago Peters. In 2020, the relationship with Jennifer ended. Likewise, he married Ali Peters in Dana Point, California, on February 20, 2022.
