Rodney Peete was born on the 16th of March, 1966, in Mesa, Arizona, USA. As of now, he is 56 years old. He was born to parents Willie Peete and Edna Peete. His father Willie Peete was a football coach and an assistant for the University of Arizona. He also has an older brother named Skip Peete.

The Toronto Blue Jays drafted Peete in the 30th round of the 1984 Major League Baseball draft but he decided to complete his college first. Arizona Sports inducted him into the Hall of Fame in 2012.

Throughout his career, he won the 1988 Johnny Unitas Award, 1988 Pac-10 Player of the Year, and First Team All American. The Detroit Lions drafted Rodney in the 6th round with the 141st pick in the 1989 NFL Draft. He couldn’t start in the season opener as he got injured in the final preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams. He finished his rookie season with 8 starts, 1,479 yards, and 5 passing touchdowns. Rodney played 5 seasons for the lions. He was a free agent and got signed by the Dallas Cowboys on May 3, 1994.

In 2019, he also co-hosted the Hallmark Kitten Bowl. He also worked as a host for a radio show that airs in Los Angeles. Peete and his wife Holly also made appearances for Lipozene commercials. The Oprah Winfrey Network announced that they were making a documentary on Peete and his family in 2015.
