Early Life

Nozomi Okuhara was born on 13 March 1995. Her name is written as 奥原 希望 in Japanese. Presently, she is 27 years old and her sun sign is Pisces. Her birthplace is Ōmachi, Nagano, Japan. This player has not shared the details regarding her family background.

Career

Nozomi began playing badminton since the year 2002. Then, 8 years later, precisely in the year 2010, she joined the Japanese national team. Moreover, the 2010 Osaka International Challenge became her international debut.

And thereby becoming the first Japanese women’s singles player to lift this title in 39 years since Hiroe Yuki’s triumph back in the year 1977. Also, she became Japan’s first-ever Badminton Women’s singles player to win an Olympic medal.
