Noel Wells is a multi-talented American actress, comedian, impressionist, writer, director, singer, and musician. Noel Wells caught the lime-lights for her television roles on “Master of None” and “Saturday Night Live.” Also known for  writing, directing, and starring in the film “Mr. Roosevelt.”

Early Life

Noel Wells was born on the 23rd of December 1986, in San Antonio, Texas, in the United States of America. Her age is 36 as of 2022 and she holds an American nationality.

Moreover, she has her belief in Christianity and has a zodiac sign of Capricorn. Similarly, she belongs to mixed ethnicity of Tunisian-Mexican descent. Her birth name is Noel Kristi Wells.

In the year 2010, she enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin and got graduated with a degree in Plan II Honors and Radio-television-film. Moreover, Wells is considered to be one of the highly talented students in the University.

During her college year, she got cast as a member of Esther’s Follies. There, she used to perform in sketches and as a magician’s assistant. In addition, she worked as an editor and did motion graphics before becoming an actress.

Since her childhood days, Noel Wells always dreamt to popular. Following it, she moved to Los Angeles in 2010 and started performing at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre with the sketch team “New Money.”

Later, Wells appeared in several and CollegeHumor videos and was known for her own sketch and parody videos, which have over 18 million views on YouTube.

She joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in 2013, during its 39th season as a featured player along with fellow Upright Citizens Brigade performers John Milhiser, Kyle Mooney, and Beck Bennett, as well as writer Mike O’Brien and stand-up comedian Brooks Wheelan.

She was a part of the show from 2013 to 2014  appearing in season 39. Sadly, it was announced on the 15th of July 2014 that she would not be returning for a second season.

Moreover, she made guest appearances on television programs such as “The Aquabats! Super Show!” (2013) as Rachel Moonbug, and “Comedy Bang! Bang!” (2015) as Aiden Tomasseto. Moreover, she did recurring voice work on the 2014 Hulu adult animated comedy streaming television series “The Awesomes.”

Other television appearances

Again, she did her voice work in the Disney XD animated television series “Wander Over Yonder” playing Lord Dominator. In the 2015 Netflix comedy-drama series “Master of None” she co-starred and played the main role of Rachel, the love interest of Ansari’s character.

The series was created by Aziz Ansari and Alan Yang. In 2016, she played the role of Trish/Willow in the comedy series “The UCB Show” and as Blix in the comedy streaming television series “Loosely Exactly Nicole.”

Afterward, she continued her voice works in television such as “American Dad!”(2016), “Elena of Avalor” (2017), “Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts” (2020), “Wild Help” (2020), and “DuckTales” (2021).

Moreover, she lent her voice to the main role of Kelsey in Cartoon Network “Craig of the Creek” and Ensign D’Vana Tendi in the adult animated television series “Star Trek: Lower Decks.”


In 2013, she made her big-screen debut in the film “Forev” as Sophie. Later, she played the role of Joanna in the 2016 musical comedy-drama film “Dreamland.’

Wells portrayed the role of Tasha in the romantic comedy film “The Incredible Jessica James” and as Theresa in the science fiction comedy film “Infinity Baby” in the year 2017.

Following the same year, she wrote, directed, and starred in the feature film “Mr. Roosevelt” which premiered at the SXSW film festival in Narrative Spotlight.

The movie won multiple awards including the Audience Award and Louis Black Lone Star Jury Award at SXSW and Best US Narrative Feature at the Traverse City Film Festival. In the2018, she starred in two movies; “Happy Anniversary” as Mollie and “Social Animals” as Zoe.

On the 30th of August 2019, she released her debut album “It’s So Nice” written and recorded over a two-year period, it marks Wells’ first foray as a musician and singer-songwriter.
