Moving on, in 1965, she played the role of Bernada in the play, “La Maison de Bernada Alba” by Federico Garcia Lorca at the Montreal Metropolitan Colleges Drama Festival. Also, in 1968, she appeared in the play, “Bilan” by Marcel Dube along with Janine Sutto and Jean Duceppe.

Furthermore, she made her television debut in the show “Rue des Pignons” in 1966, in addition to her theatrical career. Likewise, she also appeared in the youth show La Souris Verte and the program Symphorien in 1970.

She succeeded Béatrice Picard as vice-president of the Union des artistes in May 1975. With this, she became the youngest artist to be elected president of the Union des artists in January 1980. She was in charge of this role till April 1983. Also, she was named to the board of directors of the Institut québécois du cinéma in the same year, with Hélène Loiselle.

She appeared on television in the Peau de banana series in 1982. In this, she played Simone Saint-Laurent, a vice-president of an advertising firm. From September 1982 through April 1987, the show aired. In 1983, she landed her first film role in filmmaker Claude Fournier’s Bonheur. She was named best radio host at the Gala MétroStar in 1986 and 1987.

Similarly, she was cast as the lead in the soap series Chambres en Ville in 1989. Louise Leblanc, an authoritative lady who owns a boarding home for teens and young adults in the heart of Montreal 10, is the character she portrays. Moreover, in the Ent’Cadieux series, she played Diane Cadieux, a single mother living with her son Alexis, from 1993 until 1999.
