During his college time, he used to play soccer on his college team, The Pittsburgh Panthers. He also worked as a letterman for 4 years. Moreover, he was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers as the 248th pick in the ninth round in the year 1991.

After a year, he signed with Sacramento Surge and later Atlanta-based NFL team Atlanta Falcons. In addition, he played for the Cleveland Browns from 1993 to 1995.

In the year 1996, he returned to the Atlanta Falcons and played for the next two years. ‘The Oakland Raiders signed him in 1998. He had played for four clubs in seven ‘NFL’ seasons at the end of his career.

In 2001, he joined the ‘Orlando Rage,’ a professional football team that competed in the ‘XFL.’

In 2001, after announcing his retirement from professional football, he became a Pro Scout for the ‘Washington Redskins’. Later, he became the Director of Pro Personnel for the ‘Washington Redskins’.

In 2008, he joined  ‘The Philadelphia Eagles as a Pro Scout. Later, he became the Assistant Director of Pro Personnel for the team, and on February 3, 2010, he was promoted to Director of Pro Personnel.

He became a football expert for the popular television network ‘ESPN’ in 2013. He began appearing on major ‘ESPN’ shows such as ‘NFL Live,’ ‘Sunday NFL Countdown,’ and ‘Monday Night Countdown’ shortly after joining the network.

During ‘Monday Night Football,’ which is part of the ‘National Football League,’ he also provides his opinion, insights, and ideas on halftime and postgame shows as part of his role.
