Lalisa Manoban, widely popular by her stage name Lisa, is a Thai rapper, singer, dancer, and model based in South Korea. Lisa Manoban made her debut in August 2016 under YG Entertainment as the lead rapper and main dancer of the girl group Blackpink. Her dancing skills have made her loved by the world.
Early Life
Lisa was born, as a Panpriya Manoban, on March 27, 1997, in Buriram Province, Thailand. She later changed her name to Lalisa Manoban. She is 25 years old and from Thailand as the only child of her Thai mother and Swiss stepfather.
Her stepfather’s name is Marco Bruschweiler, she is a Swiss renowned chef. As for her biological father, no information has been released to the public yet.

She has a bubbly and 4D personality. She is multilingual and can speak Thai, English, Korean, basic Japanese, and Chinese.
Educational Background
As for her Education, Lisa did her schooling in Thailand. She attended Praphamontree School where she completed her secondary education. She, from an early age, was interested in the South Korean pop industry. Also, she admired Korean artists like Big Bang and 2NE1.
She represented her school in a singing contest and won as a runner-up. Likewise, she had competed in numerous other dance contests. She, later joined the dance crew We Zaa Cool, along with Bambam of Got7.
Career and Professional Life
Lisa auditioned for YG Entertainment, in 2010, in Thailand. She was the only individual to pass among the 4,000 applicants. She officially became a trainee in YG as the first foreign trainee on April 11, 2011. Before her debut, in the year 2015, she did her first modeling job for the streetwear brand nona9on.
Black Pink Debut
Her group ‘Blackpink’s’ debut was planned even before 2012 and had been trained strictly and prepared for the world for years. Together with her bandmates Jennie, Jisoo, and Rose, she made her debut on August 8, 2016, with their first album ‘Square One’.
One of their song ‘Whistle’ became the number-one hit on ‘Gaon Digital Chart’ and the Music Video became viral on YouTube. They won over the world overnight and even became the highest-rated female brand on the ‘Billboard Social 50’.
She and her group reached the highest peak of her career by releasing their single ‘As If It Last’ on June 22, 2017. The song debuted on the ‘Billboard World Digital Song chart. They had no choice but to continue without stopping. Likewise, they made their debut in Japan on August 30, 2017. In April 2019, she and her band performed at Coachella. They became the first K-pop act to perform in Coachella.

Solo Activity
As for her solo activity, she became the brand model for the South Korean Cosmetics brand Moonshot, in 2016.
She starred in the MBC military variety program Real Man 300 as a permanent member, as of September 2018. She won an unofficial award as ‘Character of the Year’ at the 2018 MBC Entertainment Awards. Besides dancing, singing, and modeling she is also interested in photography. In 2018, she opened a YouTube channel, Lilifilm Official, that focuses on Travel and Lifestyle.
