Lee Iacocca was born on 15th October 1924, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, United States of America. His father’s name was Nicola Iacocca, and his mother was Antonietta Perotta.
His parents were Italian immigrants, while his father was a businessman and a theatre owner.

Career and Professional Life
Career-wise Lee was a businessman and was a very successful one. He had many business ventures during his lifetime.
Initially, he joined Ford Motor Company in 1946 as an engineer after graduating from his formal education.
However, he later joined the Department of Sales and Marketing as per his interest. Following this path, he also worked as an assistant sales manager in the Philadelphia district in 1956.
He was a national hero for launching the 56 for 56 campaign. It mainly offered loans and down payment options on models of 1956-year cars.

Following his dedication, and commitment to work, he also became vice president of Ford’s car and truck group in 1960 and also became executive vice-president in 1967.
The success graph just rose higher and higher when also became the president of the Ford Corporation in 1970. But, after having a heated relationship with Henry Ford II, he was fired from the company in 1978.
After being fired from Ford, he joined Chrysler Corporation. At that time, the company was near bankruptcy. But as a president, he went on to change things for the company.
The main turnaround came when cars like Dodge Aries and Plymouth Reliant went on to hit the market successfully.
After taking Chrysler to prime again; he retired as the President, CEO, and Chairman of Chrysler. Accumulating his knowledge, and successful experience, he has written several books.
Some of his books are; Iacocca: An Autobiography, Talking Straight, Liberty for All, Where Have All the Leaders Gone? For his amazing work in this field, he was also awarded some awards.
