Early Life and Childhood
Lea Michele was born on August 29, 1986. Presently, she is 37 years old and her sun sign is Virgo. Her full name is Lea Michele Sarfati. She is originally from The Bronx, New York, USA. Lea is the only child of Edith Thomasina (née Porcelli), a retired nurse, and Mark David Sarfati, a real estate agent, and former delicatessen owner.

At the age of 8, Lea went with a friend to an open casting call for an up-and-coming musical. After spontaneously deciding to audition, this personality was offered the role and, two weeks later, she was starring on Broadway.
Lea made her Broadway debut in 1995 as a replacement for the role of Young Cosette in “Les Misérables”. This personality was then cast in the role of Tateh’s daughter, the Little Girl, in the 1998 original Broadway cast of “Ragtime”.
And, in the year 2004, she portrayed Shprintze and understudied the role of Chava in the Broadway revival of the musical “Fiddler on the Roof”. Likewise, when she was 14, she was given the role of Wendla Bergmann in Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik’s musical version of “Spring Awakening”.
