Kim Yugyeom, widely known as Yugyeom, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and dancer. Kim Yugyeom is known throughout the world as a member of the South Korean boy group Got7. He has gathered a massive fan following with his professional dancing skills.
Early Life
Kim Yugyeom was born on November 17, 1997. He is a 26-year-old Korean singer born in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. However, he stated in an interview that he was conceived in Saudi Arabia and born in South Korea.
Yugyeom with his family moved to Namyangju where he grew up alongside his older brother.

Education
Yugyeom did his elementary schooling at Donong Elementary School and then attended Migeum Middle School. Kim completed his high school at Hanlim Arts High School with a major in street dance.
After high school graduation, he enrolled at Taekyung University to pursue a modeling degree. While at Taekyung, he first, met his bandmate Youngjae who was also majoring in modeling at the same university.
Yugyeom can speak three languages, Korean, Japanese, a little bit of English, and Chinese.

He was very fond of dancing since he was a kid. He took part in dance competitions and even one in some. While at a dance school, Yugyeom was scouted by one of the employees of JYP Entertainment.
Eventually, he became a trainee there. He was the fifth member to be hired for the group, Got7.
As a trainee, Yugyeom along with his bandmates Mark, BamBAm, and Jackson appeared in Mnet’s survival program ‘Who is Next: WIN’ in 2013.
Later on January 1, 2014, Yugyeom debuted as the main dancer, vocalist, and rapper of the South Korean boy band Got7 with ‘Girls Girls Girls.
Furthermore, Yugyeom along with his bandmates made an acting debut with their web drama Dream Knight.
Yugyeom also appeared in a dance competition show, where he competed with other K-pop group dancers, IOI’s Kim Chungha, Block B’s U-Kwon, SNSD’s Hyoyeon, NCT Ten, and Monsta X’s Shownu, in which he also won.
Likewise, Yugyeom is also part of a sub-unit of Got7, Jus2, with his fellow mate Jaebum.

Achievements
He, as a member of Got7, had featured on world tours like the Fly Tour in 2016, and Eyes on You in 2018.
Likewise, he has won numerous awards, together with his bandmates, including Four Golden Disk Awards, three Gaon Chart Music Awards, and three Seoul Music Awards.
