Judd Hirsch was born on March 15, 1935, in the city of The Bronx, New York, United States. As of 2023, his age is 88 years and his full name is Judd Seymore Hirsch.

Similarly, he is American by nationality and follows the Christian religion. Moreover, he belongs to the German-English ethnicity and his birth sign is Pisces. He was raised in Brooklyn and The Bronx.

He was born to an electrician Joseph Sidney Hirsch (father) and a housewife Rosa Hirsch Benjamin (mother). Likewise, he has one brother named Roland Hirsch.

Judd Hirsch began his acting career in the early 1960s, appearing in various off-Broadway productions and on Television shows such as “The Doctors” and “Search for Tomorrow.” He gained fame for his role as Alex Rieger in the hit TV show “Taxi”.

For his performance, he received two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. After “Taxi”, he continued to act in both TV and film. He played the lead role in the TV series “Dear John” from 1988 to 1992, and appeared in movies such as “Running on Empty”, “Independence Day”, and “A Beautiful Mind”.
