John F. Kennedy was the thirty-fifth president of the U.S. who faced several foreign crises, especially in Cuba and Berlin but managed to secure such achievements as the Nuclear Test-Ban Treaty and the Alliance for Progress.

John Fitzgerald Kennedy’s birthdate is 29th May 1917 and his birthplace in Brookline, Massachusetts, U.S. He belongs to a wealthy and powerful political Irish family and his zodiac sign is Gemini.

Talking about his family, it was big with 3 brothers and 5 sisters. Their dad, Joe wanted one of his sons to be a president and sent them to the top schools. The president went to Harvard, graduating in 1940. Then, he toured Great Britain to stay with his dad.

The American politician passed away on 22nd November 1962, in Dallas, Texas at the age of just forty-six. It was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald when he was riding in a motorcade in Dallas.

He was on a political trip at that time. Before his death, the American politician was often suffering from several health conditions such as whooping cough, chicken pox, measles, ear infections, and scarlet fever. He even was diagnosed with Addison’s disease, a rare endocrine disorder. Moreover, his body is buried in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington County, Virginia, U.S.

After being elected, John gave one of the most inspiring opening speeches in history. His presidency was marked by main occasions in the Cold War. These occasions involved the building of the Berlin Wall in Germany by the communists, the Bay of Pigs, and the Cuban Missile Crisis. After some months of being the president, he decided to try and support Cuban rebels’ takeover of the communist Cuban leader, Fidel Castro.

Unluckily, the attack turned unsuccessful when the CIA-assisted rebels were thoroughly conquered. This incident is named the Bay of Pigs due to the name of the bay where it happened.

In 1962 the U.S. found out that the Soviet Union was constructing secret missile centers in Cuba. These missiles would be capable of striking the United States with nuclear bombs. In the upcoming days, the United States and the Soviet Union moved toward nuclear war.

The United States isolated Cuba to keep the missiles out. After some talks, the Soviet Union approved disassembling the bases. In the end, the United States decided to never outbreak Cuba and to eliminate missiles from Turkey.

Kennedy’s dad was friends with William Randolph Hearst who arranged the position of a special correspondent for Hearst Newspapers for his son in April 1945. The project reserved his name in the public eye, showing him journalism as a viable career.

In addition, he even worked in the position of a correspondent and went to Berlin for the 2nd time. There, he showed his presence at the Potsdam Conference and other occasions.
