Ice Cube had a keen interest in hip-hop music since his early teenage year. He even wrote rap songs for a keyboarding class at his school in Los Angeles. Cube started writing raps once challenged by a friend, “Kiddo” to do so in typewriting class. Likewise, Ice Cube started rapping in the trio C.I.A. in the year 1986 when he was 16 years old. However, later he soon was able to join the newly formed rap group NWA. Ice Cube then was able to become NWA’s lead rapper and main ghostwriter on its official debut album.

Ice Cube started focusing more on movies in the 2010s. He starred in the critically acclaimed movie “Rampart” in the year 2011. He later appeared as “Captain Dickson” in the blockbuster hit movies, “21 Jump Street” and its sequel “22 Jump Street”. Cube also starred in “Ride Along” and its sequel “Ride Along 2”.
