Harris was later traded to the Denver Nuggets on draft night. He signed his rookie scale contract with the Nuggets on July 31, after averaging 18.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.6 steals, and 2.0 assists in five Summer League games. Meanwhile, he was sidelined for the first five games of the 2014-2015 season due to a back injury. Gary also made his NBA debut on November 14 against the Indiana Pacers.
