Early Life and Childhood
Donald Joseph Qualls was born in Nashville, Tennessee on June 10, 1978. He is currently 45 years old. He grew up in Manchester, Tennessee, and was admitted to a school near Tullahoma. Likewise, his parents are his father Connie Qualls, and his mother Debbie Qualls. He is one of five children.
He is called by his nickname” Deej” and his zodiac sign is Gemini. Likewise, his Nationality is American, and was grew up in America.
He suffered from a disease called Hodgins’s Lymphoma (Cancer originating from specific white blood cells) at the age of fourteen. Moreover, after two years of successful treatment, he was free from cancer. However, the chemotherapy treatment hurts his growth and development of the body.

In 1995, He completed his graduation from Coffee County Central High School and was an energetic member of the Red Raider Band. After completing his graduation he joined King’s College London for the study of English Literature.
For further study in law, he went to the University of London. He distinguished that a career in law can earn more money but he was not passionate about becoming a lawyer rather he was more interested in acting. Therefore, he returned to his birthplace, joined Belmont University in Nashville, and started acting in a local theater Company.

As he was interested in acting, he began acting in local theaters and became successful in the acting field. In 1994, DJ Qualls started to look for work in Film Industry. He started as an extra in the HBO film “Against the Wall”. In 1997, he contributed to the small role of Jason in the series named “Mama Flora’s Family”, In between that time, he joined many community theatres as well.
Being a Model he worked for Prada, an Italian luxury fashion house, and photographers like David LaChapelle and Steve Klein. During the Early stage of his starting career DJ appeared in a cameo in Britney Spears’ music video “Boys”, and the video “I’m Just a Kid” by Simple Plan. In 2000, DJ was called from the Atlanta office to meet producer Ivan Reitman in California, after auditioning for a one-liner in an American comedian film “Road Trip”.

After a strong performance in his first feature film “Road Trip”, DJ started to find good opportunities in many projects like “Cherry Falls” and ” Chasing Holden”. Similarly, in 2001, he played Neil Lawrence in “Chasing Holden”. After getting a good response and love from the audience he played in many movies such as “Hustle & Flow Monk, Scrubs, Criminal Minds, Lost, and Law & Order.”
