Similarly, he started hosting the ITV program series named World of Sport in 1965. He worked as an understudy to Eamonn Andrews, taking over as host in 1968 by ITV to present it when Andrews left the show. He remained with ITV even after the World of Sport ended in 1985.

Furthermore, he presented boxing, darts, and snooker, as well as taking part in their coverage of the 1988 Seoul Olympics. In August 1989, he left ITV Sport. After quitting ITV, he joined the original Eurosport which was owned by Sky and the European Broadcasting Union at the time.
