Christen Press’s career started when she played with the American soccer, and women’s team, Pali Blues in the 2009 and 2010 seasons. Then, she played for the fellow American soccer club, Magic in 2011. Her first debut game was with FC on June 27 against the Seattle Reign.

She moved to Sweden and signed with a Swedish top-level professional women’s club, Kopparbergs/Goteborg FC  in the year 2012. She also helped them to win the Swedish Cup in 2012.

Later, she joined the fellow Swedish women’s football club of Tyreso FF in 2013 before returning to the USA.

She was able to score her first international goal for the US team in the match for US soccer against Scotland on February 9, 2013. In 2014, she signed up with the Chicago Red Stars and played until 2017.
