Bobby Lee is a well-known American actor, stand-up comedian, and podcaster of Korean descent. Bobby Lee was a cast member on “MADtv” (2001-2009) and he co-starred in the ABC single-camera sitcom series, “Splitting Up Together.”

On the 17th of September 1971, Bobby Lee was born in San Diego, California, in the United States of America. It makes him 51 years old and holds American nationality. His birth name is Robert Young Lee Jr. and his zodiac sign is Virgo. While, he belongs to mixed ethnicity of  Korean-American descent, and practices Christianity religion.

Regarding his parents, he is the son of Robert Lee (father) and Jeanie Lee (mother). His parents are American citizens of Korean descent and ran department retailers in California. Regarding his academic qualification, he studied at Painted Rock Elementary School, Twin Peaks Middle School, and Poway High School. At the age of 18 years old, he left his parent’s house and began working in a San Diego restaurant and coffee shop while enrolled at Palomar College. However, he dropped out his college, before completing his graduation.

Professional Career

Bobby Lee began his career as a stand-up comedian at a young age and quickly rose to fame. Within a year of doing stand-up comedy, he received offers to open for both Pauly Shore and Carlos Mencia.

Moreover, he worked regularly at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles, a comedy club owned by Pauly Shore’s mother Mitzi. He made his film debut in 1999 “The Underground Comedy Movie” playing the role of a Chinese Man. After two years, e appeared in the Australian television movie “Unreal TV.”

Moreover, he rose to fame after playing in the sketch comedy television series “Mad TV (2001-2009) featured cast in season 7, and the main cast in the 8 to 14 seasons. Moreover, he is the show’s first and only Asian cast member. Moreover, he remained with the cast until the series’ cancellation in 2009. He made his return as a guest in various roles in season 15.

Lee’s other movies appearances are “Pauly Shore Is Dead” (2003), “Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle” (2005), “Undoing” (2006), “Kickin’ It Old Skool” (2007), “Pineapple Express” (2008), “Hard Breakers” (2010).

He appeared in several television series “The Brothers Garcia” (2001), “Curb Your Enthusiasm” (2005), “Mind of Mencia” (2005-2006), “Family Guy” (2009), “Ktown Cowboys” (2010), “Big Time Rush” (20111), “Animal Practice” (2012-2013), “Arrested Development” (2013) and “Sean Saves the World” (2013).

He was the main cast and provided the voice to the character Tim / Sumo for the adult animated comedy streaming television series “The Awesomes” (2013-2015). Moreover, he provided the voice of MC Ferret in the educational animated children’s television series “Nature Cat” (2015-2019).

Moreover, Lee made his recurring cast in several television series such as “Nature Cat” (2015-2019), “Love” (2016-2018), “Magnum P.I.” (2019-present), “Dream Corp LLC” (2020), and “And Just Like That…” (2021-present).

He was the main cast in television series such as “What Would Diplo Do?” (2017), “Splitting Up Together” (2018-2019), and “Inside Job” (2021-2022). Worked in television series, and he also managed to work in several movies during that time.  From 2016  to 2022, he worked on movies like; “Laid in America” (2016), “Guest House” (2020), “Wish Dragon” (2021), “How It Ends” (2021), and “Borderlands” (2022).
