The preliminary inquiry judge set Luka Magnotta’s trial for 8 September 2014. This decision was taken on 29 April 2013. Then on 29 September 2014, in court in Quebec, her son admitted to killing Jun Lin.
However, her son pleaded not guilty to murder due to his schizophrenia.
