Early Life

On the 3rd of December 1927, Andy Williams was born in Wall Lake, Iowa, in the United States of America. At the age of 84 years old, he passed away and held American nationality. Meanwhile, he has a birth sign of Sagittarius and belongs to a mixed ethnicity of English and Welsh descent. Additionally, he has his belief in Christianity and his full name is Howard Andrew Williams.

In terms of his parents, he was born to his father Jay Emerson Williams, and his mother Florence Williams. Professionally, his father worked in the post office and his mother worked in insurance. In addition, he had three older brothers who also became singers: Bob, Don, and Dick.

Talking about his academic career, he attended Western Hills High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. However, he did not complete his high school education as he dropped out to pursue a music career.

He was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960, located at 6730 Hollywood Boulevard. In 2008, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President George W. Bush for his contributions to music and entertainment.
