Because he joined Red Bull Salzburg in the winter and that team had to play a match from the first half of the season to the second half, he ended up playing 37 league games that year, 22 for SV Ried and 15 for Red Bull Salzburg. He suffered a serious injury during the warm-up for a Champions League qualifying match against Omonia Nicosia and missed the first half of the 2010–11 season as a result. Salzburg and Andreas had their most successful European campaign ever during the 2017–18 season. After defeating Real Sociedad, Borussia Dortmund, and Lazio Roma, they won their Europa League group and progressed to the semifinals of the league for the first time. He joined FC Red Bull Salzburg for an additional year in 2022.
International Career
