Early life

On September 24, 1977,  Alexis DeJoria was born in Venice Beach, California. As of now, she is already 44 years old and her zodiac sign is libra. She was born to her father John Paul DeJoria and her mother Jamie Briggs. Her father married Eloise Broady, a former Playboy playmate.

Career

In 2005, Alexis DeJoria began her NHRA career competing in the Super Gas category. It was before moving into a Super Comp dragster. Later, she went on to win the Sportsman Nationals in Fontana, California, after her 8-month NHRA debut. On the West coast in Top Alcohol Funny Car (TA/FC), she spend her meant 2 years. In 2009 Stealth Motorsports, her own racing team was built.

Similarly, she won her 1st ever NHRA national event, at the 2011 NHRA Northwest Fall Nationals. Therefore, she also became the second woman ever to do so. Moving on, for 3 years, she co-owned and operated the team and left in 2011. Later, as their 4th member and 2nd funny car driver, she later joins Kalitta Motorsports.

At the 2011 Texas Fall Nationals, this move coincided with her transition to racing a nitro (Fuel) funny car. Similarly, at Bristol, she raced her first final-round appearance, in 2012. She set the time with a run of 4.032 and a speed of 319.07 mph (513.49 km/h) at Reading.

In addition, she had four semi-final finishes, during the 2013 season. Fortunately, she became the first woman ever to make a sub-four second pass, in 2014. Therefore, it was with a 3.997-second e.t., during the NHRA Winternationals at Pomona. She had her next race in Phoenix, where she won her first race in Funny Car. In Las Vegas, she picked up the second win of her professional career, in March 2014.

Similarly, she broke a Funny Car track record at Atlanta Dragway (4.012-second e.t.), in May. And, she also earned the number one qualifier position. She broke Brainerd International Raceway’s Funny Car ET record, in the summer. Thus, it was with a 4.010-second pass, then reset her own record with a 3.998-second pass. In Indianapolis, she successfully won the U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, in September. Besides, she reached the final round in Top Fuel Funny Car, on June 7, 2015.

In late 2019, she made an announcement of her return from a two-year hiatus. Moreover, she stated plans to run the entire 2020 schedule. She hoped of becoming the first woman to win a Funny Car championship. Thus, she entered into a multi-year sponsorship with ROKiT Phones. During that time, she also entered. Besides, in 2013, she played the role of Paula, in the movie “Snake and Mongoose”.

Personal life

For a long time, Alexis DeJoria started dating TV personality and motorcycle customizer Jesse James. Later, after their long-term relationship, they engaged in September 2012 and took their relationship a step ahead.

Soon after 6 months later on March 24, 2013, they thew an extravagant and expensive ceremony. Similarly, through social media, they announced they agree getting divorced on March 17, 2020. Thus, the reason given was James; infidelity. In 2003, she was blessed with a daughter named Isabella from her previous relationship.
